Coal
Trafigura Coal is a new business to the Trafigura family and it
is fast becoming a world-class supplier of thermal coal, coking
coal and coke products to the global marketplace. Trafigura Coal
has long-term offtake arrangements and contracts that enable it to
supply products from Australia, Colombia, Indonesia, Russia and
South Africa into the Atlantic and Pacific demand markets.
Trafigura moves coal products from a multitude of mines via a
complex logistical chain of barges, ocean-going vessels and through
ports to supply end customers in a cost effective, efficient and
safe manner. Our coal products are used to produce electricity,
cement and steel.
Together with Trafigura’s Iron Ore and Shipping businesses, we
are able to extract efficiencies from the supply chain in order to
benefit our suppliers and customers.
