Trafigura Group is a major charterer in all vessel segments,
both in tankers and dry cargo. Trafigura freight requirements are
managed by our in-house freight trading units covering the tanker
and dry bulk markets.
These areas support the commodity trading activities of the
group and in addition provide freight services to third party
external customers through the use of fixed or floating rate cargo
contracts on spot, COA and longer term basis.
Trafigura offers index linked/fixed rate commercial management
of vessels to owners; we control a fleet of between 80 to 100
vessels at any one time across both the dry bulk and tanker sectors
and covering all vessel sizes.
Tankers are controlled through offices in Geneva, Houston,
London, Dubai and Singapore. We fix on average 1,500 to 1,700
voyages annually, carrying around five million tonnes of crude,
refined products and chemicals per month with dry bulk being
controlled from London, Lucerne and Singapore. All vessel
operations are managed from Athens and our regional offices.
