Mike Wainwright
Chief Transformation Officer
In April 2023, Mike Wainwright announced his intention to retire from Trafigura at the end of March 2024 and took on the role of Chief Transformation Officer to oversee the orderly transition of his responsibilities and company directorships. Mike was previously Chief Operating Officer and Trafigura Management Board member, having been appointed in January 2008.
Mike joined Trafigura in 1996 and has held various roles within the group, covering accounting, deals desk and middle office IT development. A UK national, Mike holds a BSc in Mathematics and Actuarial Studies from Southampton University.
