Ignacio Moyano was appointed Chief Risk Officer in 2023. Ignacio has held various roles across Trafigura including Global Co-Head of LNG and Gas, and Head of Oil, Asia with responsibility for managing crude oil and petroleum products trading activity across the region. He joined Trafigura through the Group’s Junior Trader Scheme in 2012.
Prior to joining Trafigura, Ignacio worked for Merrill Lynch in London as a gas and electricity trader. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from his native Spain and two Master’s degrees, the most recent a Master’s in Mathematical Finance from Oxford University.
