Trafigura’s Regional Office located in Zonamerica was created in 2013 and operates from Montevideo to support the business of the group in the Americas. Our team combines local and international talent that leads to an exciting multi-cultural business environment. We are bringing our efforts to grow our staff focusing on highly motivated people who are ambitious and keen to learn and grow in the commodity industry.

Our Montevideo office has become the regional hub of the Americas and work has been transitioned from many countries and for both the Oil and the Minerals teams. The fact that both areas share the same office makes it really interesting for different teams to work together and find synergies between them, and it also provides incredible growth opportunities for those interested in getting a wider knowledge of the commodity industry.

Diversity is one of our biggest assets, and we currently have around 20 nationalities in our team in Montevideo, many of whom have relocated from other Trafigura offices and have a wealth of experience to share with local employees who are joining Trafigura.

For those wishing to work either in our core business teams such as Operations, Deals Desk and Trade Finance, or to work in teams that support our offices in other countries in all their service functions such as Accounting, Finance, Treasury, IT, Legal and Human resources, Trafigura’s office in Montevideo is the place to be at this time.
