Trafigura prioritises working with suppliers that are dedicated to continuous improvement and can demonstrate that they meet high standards of environmental, social and governance or ‘ESG’ performance.

Our Responsible Sourcing Programme is aligned with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains as well as sustainable procurement standard ISO 20400:2017.

The following information is designed to help our suppliers familiarise themselves with our diligence activities. It outlines how the programme works, step-by-step, so our suppliers are clear on what we require of them for their on-boarding, and for their ongoing interaction with Trafigura.

In participating in our Responsible Sourcing Programme, our suppliers are expected to:

Respond fully, accurately and promptly to requests for information.
Cooperate with Trafigura throughout the process, making operational premises and senior staff available where necessary.
Address issues raised and implement actions as agreed over the course of the process.
Share any questions, comments or feedback as the process develops.
